“WHEREAS the Ontario Government is pushing the idea of alternative energy; and
WHEREAS this area has an abundance of low grade wood waste; and
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that Council investigate and promote the possibility of pursuing the use of this waste to create electric power as an alternative to wind-generated power; and
Copies be sent to AMO, requesting that it be distributed to all municipalities and that copies be sent to AFA, MNR, Algonquin Natives, all local mills, Mr. Smitherman Minister of Energy, This Week paper, John Yakabuski, Cheryl Gallant and any other relevant parties.”
